When you consider only three other managers have won 200 or more PL games you have to say Moyes is above average really. I know Redknapp is one of the other three but he along with Ferguson and Wenger are a good bit older.

Not that I'm singing Moyes's praise at all. I agree with Northern he has a lot to prove and we will see soon enough whether he is the real answer to the club's future.

very impressed with the turnaround in Angelo Ogbonna......... well done ginger Dave.

think he's realised that Arnie & Lanzini are the key to scoring goals. free them both up and we are onto a winner.

What help has the board given him ?...seriously ?

ZERO

I think he's done a fantastic job considering the idiots running the club

Still early days yet and he is doing ok(ish)... think that line up at the Weekend works away from home against inferior opposition who have to have a go at us.... Arsenal at HOME... naaaah not for me... what I have liked about him he's been very honest in his interviews... what I have not liked is that he's almost kicking the FA cup into touch before a ball has been kicked... I've mellowed to him... but overall probably a 6.7/10 over all... so far

The Lanzini transfer was happening before Bilic was appointed.

Arnautovic? Hard to see how any credit can go to Bilic, who turned a £25 million transfer into a heap of shit.

You can give Moyes credit for turning him back into a decent player though, shithead.

Re: I’m quite optimistic about Moyes now... a moving forward with David thread.
I got slated in here a couple of month's ago when I said our defence was OK. OK I guess what I should have daid is our defenders are OK but just not organised. Moyes has done that.

But Bilic to be given credit for the signings of Lanzini and Arnie who are looking brilliant together.

Moyes had a lot to prove.

Paul LAMBERT was a WHO favorite in the years gone by.

He's not really shown much since he left Norwich.

Everton appoint Sam and now Stoke appoint Paul Lambert!

Sir Alf
I hope you are right about Mckinlay being a non-wrong un. I seem to recall he went bankrupt not long ago.

Re: I’m quite optimistic about Moyes now... a moving forward with David thread.
I think his coaching team are also a big reason behind him being able to make a " silk purse from a sows ear" that is the West Ham squad and team.

Does anyone know who he had at United, in Spain and Sunderland? His success at Preston and Everton featured Irvine and possibly Mckinlay in his backroom team? Pearce would strengthen that team in a different way as the voice of "motivation" or a kind of drill sergeant ? Irvine is supposedly a great training ground man who organises well and Mckinlay the geezer who puts his arm round the players ( in a non-wrongun kind of way ).

In other words, its Moyes and his team collectively that is having the desired effect?

Re: I’m quite optimistic about Moyes now... a moving forward with David thread.
I didn't want Moyes after his performance at Sunderland but when you examine the situation when he arrived, it certainly looks as if our fortunes have turned right round. He badly needs the backing of Sullivan in the transfer market though. If he doesn't get it,middle of the table is as far as we will go.

Done a very decent job, and I much prefer him to the hideously disgusting fat oaf

Probably not the right thread for this to be fair, but still find myself feeling quite shit about football. Over the last month watching some of the top 6 then culminating in Liverpool v man city yesterday was utterly depressing. They're playing a completely different game. An absolute age away from what we and everyone else in the league serve up. Gap is getting more and more every year.
